Tank Top Insert

Tank Top InsertEver wish you could insert another fabric into your tank top for a more interesting look?  The good news is that you can!  The better news is that it's super easy!  Professor Pincushion shows you how to convert your existing tank top pattern to create a new panel that can add interest to your look.  Do some awesome color blocking or break things up with a print.  There's no rule to how many inserts you must limit yourself to.  This same technique can also be applied to our tshirt bodice and t-shirt dress patterns as well.  Experimenting with style has never been so fun.

I really love this look! Thank you for posting this video, I think I’m going to incorporate this technique for other t shirt patterns (short and long sleeves). Thanks again!

You’re instincts are correct! You can totally use this technique for side seam panels. 🙂

I love this type of technique, I have always wanted to try something like this but wasn’t sure how to go about it. You probably use the same technique for the side panels, however, since I’m somewhat new to the sewing world I would love to see a tutorial for side panels too.
Thanks for helping me learn how to create tricky looking tee’s.
