    Have a pattern requiring horizontal gathering between darts using elastic thread. I cannot seem to get the thread to stretch to cause the stretch affect.
    I threaded the bobbin as specified, however no stretch occurred.
    Any suggestions

    hmmmm….did you steam it with your iron afterwards? Sometimes that has an effect. Check out our tutorial on Shirring and I do an example with elastic thread.
