I have the McCalls pattern 7141. I’m wanting to make the shirt of view D with some adjustments. I want to remove the center front opening, make it a v neck, and add princess seams. I already have an idea on how to change the neckline and center front seam/fold. Most descriptions I have found about adding princess seams assume the pattern has bust and waist darts. My pattern does not include waist darts (but has bust darts) so I am unsure about how to draft the princess seams into the pattern.

hi there! There’s two steps to this. First, you have to shift your bust dart to the waist and then you can convert it to the princess seam. We actually have two tutorials showing you how to do this, but it’s part of our premium videos. Trying to explain it in text form, I think would be too confusing. Shifting a dart is here: https://www.professorpincushion.com/professorpincushion/shifting-a-dart/
and then making a regular bodice into a princess is here: https://www.professorpincushion.com/professorpincushion/princess-cut-bodice-pattern/ My examples might not be exactly like yours but it should help. thanks!
