Men’s Boxers

Mens BoxersI'm seriously curious how these shorts, which were normally worn by boxers, suddenly became a popular underwear garment for guys.  Is it that they all secretly imagine themselves to be a big strapping boxer?  Regardless, I'm going to let them continue with their little secret identity, because I'm going to show everyone how you can create your own men's boxers, complete with the button fly.

Creating basic shorts are actually a very easy project and a perfect project for beginners.  The elastic waistband helps make it customizable.  If you're a little unsure about doing a buttonhole, you can skip that step if you want.  The pattern created here is a large but it should fit most.  You can always enlarge the pattern pieces if you want to make it bigger.  And if you want to make the length of the shorts longer, you can just extend the inner leg and side seam lengths to whatever desired length you want.  You can even extend them to the floor and make yourself some lounge around pants.

I have updated the pattern, please re-download and try again. Let me know if it works. Someone also mentioned to try and print in black and white. First please try the new pattern. The pattern has always worked for me but a select few have had issues with page 2 and 3 for some reason.

I had trouble getting it to print page 3. was the only one coming out blank, But after going in to print again and trying to print just page 3 it again came out blank. So third attempt I checked the box print in grayscale (Black and White) and boom was able to print page 3. Very possible there is some hidden coding in there that is confusing the printers. Kind of like MS Word when you had an indent or extra lines you could never get rid of till you showed the coding in the doc and deleted the anchor or whatever was stuck in there that the simple delete would not fix. But any way enough of my rambling, try printing it strictly in Black and White and see if that helps. It printed perfectly for me by checking the Greyscale box after clicking on the print icon. Hope this might help with some who have a page missing.

I would like to sew these boxer shorts for my dad. He’s XXXL in size. How much should I increase the pattern to get it to XXXL? Thanks.

I can’t print the pattern. Message is that pages have not been selected, tho I have tried “All” , “1”,….. aggravating.
