Baby Booties – Kwik Sew Pattern 0141

Baby booties are a quick, fun project and make perfect use of your fabric scraps that are too small for everything else. That fact that it takes very little fabric is probably my favorite part about this project and you end up with the cutest booties that all the other babies and their parents will surely envy.

In this tutorial, we show you how to create two of the four bootie styles, designed by Ellie Mae, found in this envelope. You can watch how to create both of them or, if you're interested in just one, you'll have an option inside the video to click on the preferred shoe of your choice. One of these styles will be sure to suit your needs and they make such lovely baby gifts.

Please note that the notions ask for size 3/8” grommets. I created the medium size booties and found these grommets to be too large. I ended up using 5/32” eyelets and I found it to work perfectly, even with a 3/8” width ribbon. If you've never used eyelets or grommets before, make sure you purchase the kit that comes with the tool to help you install it. In addition to the tool, you will also need a hammer or mallet.

The video instructions are very good, easy to follow and with clear instructions however, I don’t think the pattern is a well fitting design. I have made booties that have fit a baby’s foot better. I wish more people who have completed this pattern would comment on the video.
