waist band length

please can you tell me if the lenght of the waist band is cut on the fold or one long single length piece cut from the fabric

Hi there,
When I create and cut my waistband it’s for the whole length so it’s not placed on the fold. This is because one side of the waistband will be longer by a couple of inches because it overlaps the other side. So if you add notches, they will not be completely symmetrical if you fold the waistband directly in half. I can’t wait to see how your circle skirt comes out! Post a pic when you finish 🙂
