Sewing machine for thick layers

I recently came across your video tutorial for making a oven mitt here https://youtu.be/tqdSe7Ylr7A but I’m having trouble sewing the front and back together. All the layers together barely fit under my presser foot, I have a Singer Heavy Duty (4432) and it broke my 90/14 needle. Does anyone know about personal sewing machines they would have adjustable presser foot height? I don’t think I can raise it any higher on my machine.
