I am working on simplicity pattern #2172 . I am working on the skirt. Pieces 20 and 21.
I sewed the nine panels together and pleaded them. The bottom pleaded panel seems extremely long. How do I fix this? Or is this the way it is suppsed to be this way?

You mean the pleated panel seems too big to fit on the bottom of the skirt? If so, don’t worry, I think everyone who has made this pattern has experienced the same issue. What you have to do is ease the two pieces together. What this means is, instead of starting at one point and pinning in a straight forward, you need to put in a pin, put a pin on the opposite side of the skirt and everytime you put in a pin you’re taking the area and splitting it in half. So you’re jumping around as you’re pinning but this method works much better and it’ll actually fit. Hope that helps
