    Hello!

I have recently gotten back into sewing and realized how much I missed it. I recently watched the video on YouTube of how to sew the reversible placemats.

I was wondering what the specific rules are for using patterns. If I was wanting to sell placemats for example would I be able to make the ones in that video and just tag where I got the pattern from? I’m not sure if it makes a difference with more simple vs complex patterns.

Thank you for your help, in the long run I am just happy to be back sewing!

    Hello,

The placemat is a rectangle, so feel free to have fun with it and make something unique. As for other patterns, it would be fair to say that you can use them as a jumping off point to modify or make it unique to you. We encourage you to tweak it for the better to then call it your own. Good luck with your new found passion in sewing and keep it up.
