How can I take an existing pattern (ex.dog coat) and make larger, smaller. I want to make many sizes of coats, but as a generic sizing (sm, med, lg), without having to customize. Is there a formulation that I could use to do this efficiently? Thanks for your help!

I think what you’re talking about is pattern grading, which is taking an existing pattern and grading it up a size or down a size. We don’t have any tutorials on it but there’s a pretty good article about the process on Threads: https://www.threadsmagazine.com/2008/11/01/making-sense-of-pattern-grading I don’t have a lot of experience when it comes to pet patterns so I can’t offer any tips or specifics on pattern grading for pets 🙁 If it were me, I’d buy some already existing dog coats, (a large, medium, and small) and use it as a reference for measurements in creating my own pattern.
