    To make good quality garments is it necessary to own a overstitch/serger machine. I currently own an JUKI DDL 5550 and I can not double stitch with it. What are your thoughts?

    I think a serger can make your garments look less homemade, even in just their ability to finish seams but if you look at couture, high end garments they’re not necessarily finishing everything with a serger. Instead they may do a hong kong finish to finish their seams or do a lot of hand sewing. I think good quality garments come from the time, effort, and precision you put into making your garments. 🙂
