I’ve read you can use a curved ruler to fit a multi-sized pattern between two sizes. Can you shed any light on this process? Thanks.

Do you mean if you want to do a size 12 for the top part of the dress and a size 16 for the bottom half of the dress? I have done this but I just used a regular ruler to draw a new line and blend the two sizes together. If the dress is curvy it would probably be a good idea to have a hip curve ruler to make the blending somewhat easier. Sometimes on the pattern paper they actually have a diagram showing how to do this and here’s a blog I found with a pretty good diagram as well: http://oliverands.com/blog/2013/11/blending-between-sizes.html
