    Hi, I am new to sewing clothes and I have been following your videos “Pattern Making” with great success!! I would like to know how to add a lining to a skirt with a kick pleat/Back Vent. Can you help? Thank You

    Yes, you can definitely add a lining to this type of skirt. You’re going to create a lining that is a duplication of your main skirt. Baste them together at the waistline (wrong side to wrong side) and then go about adding the waistband as normal. At the hemline, do each individually, I usually make the lining just a little shorter than the main. Then just hand tack the lining to the main skirt at the hemline area. You don’t have to fully around the whole hemline. Instead, I just do a few tacking stitches at any seam allowances and around a back vent if I have one. I hope that helps! 🙂
