I viewed the video on lengthening and shortening a commercial bodice pattern. It says to extend the “grain line”, I understand the technique, but I have a bodice that is to be cut (2) on the fold, so there is no grain line on the patter piece…So how do I use this technique without a grain line?

If the pattern is placed on a fold, the foldline side is already parallel with the grainline so instead of extending the grainline arrow you can just extend the foldline side of the pattern. Or you can also draw your own grainline arrow that is parallel with fold edge of the pattern.
