    Knitted swirled skirt with yolk and invisible zipper in yolk. When I put a hook and eye in the waistband it doesn’t keep the fabric from stretching. I do have interfacing in the waistband but it doesn’t seem to help. Any ideas for me? I am a beginner and can’t find anything on line to solve my problem. Thanks for your advice.

    Can you do a button and buttonhole instead of a hook & eye?
