How to choose appropriate fabric for baby duvet cover

I would like to make a duvet cover for my baby but I do not know what type of cotton fabric I should use. I want something strong and durable but also soft on his delicate skin. Is cotton twill a good choice? Please advise. Thank you.

You just want to make sure it’s washable so I would stick with cotton or cotton blend. You can use quilters cotton if you want something with more cute print options. Cotton twill will also work as long as the fabric is not too heavy duty. Another option is using premade sheets to make your duveet so it can be lightweight, washable, and durable.
