I just bought a mini pixie singer sewing machine and my thread keeps getting sucked in and tangled up. I have to remove the face of my machine and unscrew a screw a unravel the thread. What am I doing wrong? I hope I described my problem well…
oh no! sorry to hear that! Make sure that you are holding your threads for at least the first couple of stitches. I know if I don’t hold mine, they will get sucked back in. Make sure the thread on your bobbin is wound nice and neat. Take everything out and rethread the machine. Also, on some machines, you can adjust the bobbin tension and if this is off, it can cause stitching problems. You’ll have to consult your machine manual on adjusting this, if it’s possible. If after all that, and it’s still a nightmare, you may need to take your machine to a professional to look at. I hope your machine gets better soon and you can get back to sewing.
