    I’m working on a costume and Simplicity Pattern 2172 is the closest pattern that I can find, but I need to exclude the neck ruffle. What is the best way to go about that? Any tips you could give me would be lovely.

    Also thank you so much for your youtube channel. It is literally the best ever. I am new to sewing and I really love to sew but sometimes I can’t understand the lingo but you make it so simple and easy to understand. Thank you so much for the time.

    I’m so glad you’re enjoying our tutorials! 🙂 Yes, you can definitely exclude the neck ruffle and I’ve seen versions where people have done just that and it still looked great. At the point the neck ruffle goes in, the neckline is already finished. The ruffle is just being stitched on top so if you want to nix it, just skip steps 29 and 30. Easy! 😀 Good luck and when you finish, please post a pic of your finished costume!
