tried to make the long leg romper E) with the snaps in the crotch, using snap tape but the pattern instructions were very unclear….pattern piece 14, attached to the back crotch area was just too bulky…..I have made the onsie from this website and it was fine….the butterick pattern gusset for the snap tape just seemed too bulky, can I use the same methodology from the onsie for the longer legs using the fabric 1 5/8 bias strips instead?

Do you mean use binding and then individual snaps instead of the snap tape? I don’t know why not. I haven’t tried this pattern so I can’t say for sure but I think it should work in theory 🙂

Yes, thank you…I found the markings on your onesie pattern much better for alignment than the Butterick….ended up turning the romper into a shirt!! Don’t like the snap tape at all
