Stay Stitch

Stay StitchStay stitching is a single row of stitches that you sew on curved areas of your fabric pieces, usually on necklines.  It's done as part of the prep work before starting garment construction. The purpose is to keep your curved areas from stretching or distorting.  It's a very easy step but a very important one, so you should always do it if your pattern directions call for it.
