Hi there! I am a beginning sewer, really. I have been a quilter for years, but only started sewing simple clothes in the last couple of months. I have watched your videos and learned a lot – I even made some t-shirts I’m not ashamed to wear! 🙂

Question – I have some henley shirts I would like to duplicate. They are basically scoop-neck tees with a placket and 3 buttons. Some have more of a Y neckline there by the placket. I’m just nervous about cutting into a shirt and adding the placket. Do you think you could explain or point me in the direction of a good pattern for a top like this? Thanks so much!

I wasn’t able to find an existing pattern, but there are older, out of print patterns you could get online. I did a quick search online and found this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/321351520852?lpid=82 but there are definitely other styles. We haven’t done a tutorial on the neck placket so I will definitely add it to my list. Thanks for the suggestion! 🙂
