faux button closure over a hidden zipper

My daughter bought a dress that zips up the front but the zipper is hidden by a faux button placket. I would love to be able to make something like this. I like the look of buttons, but zippers are so much handier to use.

Do you have a tutorial on your site about this topic? The buttons on my daughter’s dress are just sewn on for looks, there are no loops or button holes. They just cover the zipper to hide it.

sorry for the delay in response. I’ve been on vacation. Unfortunately, we don’t have a tutorial on doing a faux button placket yet but I’ll keep it in mind for future tutorials. Thanks for the suggestion
