      Hi-
      I am working with Simplicity #1070, making the jacket that has princess seams (I will wear it open). My waist measurement is larger than indicated on the pattern. Should I use the pivot method to alter the waist area, or should I divide the alteration amount to apply it to all the pieces?

        How much are you adding? If it’s just a couple inches, I would do it to the side front and side back pieces only, just to make it easier instead of spreading over all the piece.
