Most satin (even silk) is washable so assuming yours is, make sure you wash in cold water either by hand or on a gentle cycle in your washing machine and use a gentle soap like Woolite.  Don’t put it in the dryer regardless of the fabric content.  It will destroy the welt and luster.  Get as much water out using towels and let air dry preferably flat and not in the sun. If you need to iron it, make sure you use a dry iron with no steam using a low heat setting.   You should iron on the back (matte) side using a sheet or other piece of light fabric between the satin and your iron so you don’t iron directly on the fabric.  Move the iron around so you don’t leave it in any one place for any length of time.
