You can do that. Since you’re only doing 2″, you can also just split it among the 2 pieces that have the armhole/side seam side, which would be the bodice side front and bodice back and just keep things a little more simple. So then you’re only dealing with 2 patterns and subtracting a 1/2″ to the each side seam. Don’t forget to make your muslin to test your fit and see if you need to make any other adjustments or tweaks.
