Confession time.  I'm not a perfectionist.   Because of this, I will never consider myself a good quilter.  I love quilts and admire people that do quilting, but I feel like it takes a lot of practice to become really good at it and you have to take your time in cutting everything perfectly.  But I hope all that doesn't discourage you from trying these cute, little coasters.  Yes, you need to be careful.  Yes, they can be time consuming.  I only want to be upfront and honest that this project is a little more advance than some of the others and if you've always wanted to try quilting, give this one a whirl.  The end results are worth it.

This pattern is a very basic quilt square and a good one, if you're just introducing yourself to quilting.  You'll find, though, that there are many quilt square patterns out there.  Once you get the general concept, you can make these fabulous coasters as simple or as complex as you wish. They're great for decorating any space.
