      Do I need a certain type of machine to sew a winter coat?

        You might want to look into investing in a heavy duty machine. I’m not saying it’s impossible to do on a regular home machine but it really depends on the material you’re working with and how thick the layers are you’ll be sewing through. Some home machines might have trouble with it.
