      when you pin on the outside of a dress to take in the waist, how do you mark/follow you pins once you turn the dress inside out?

        If you can, try on the dress inside out and then pin it. It’ll make it easier to know where to take it in. Then I would baste it, try it on again and if it’s good, you can stitch on the basting stitch to make it permanent.
