Just because a sewing technique has been around for a long time, doesn't mean it's no longer relevant.  Styles are bound to return and it's always fun to learn something new.  This tutorial is about shell tucks, also know as scallop tucks, which can be found on vintage garments and could be considered heirloom sewing.   This delicate edging adds details to your hemlines, collars, edges, and tucks to give your garments a little something extra.  Use this technique when sewing children's garments or even adult lingerie.  Although, hand sewing can be time consuming, the results of beautiful shell tucks are well worth the effort.
