      What is the best way to sew a patch on a pair of jeans?

        There are different ways to do this. You can buy iron on patches at a fabric store or make your own with fabric and fusible webbing. Even if you iron it on, I would still sew a straight stitch around the perimeter of the patch just to make it more secure.
