      hi professor , evening i wanted to ask im trying to adjust my basic patterns because ive put on a lil weight. what exactly is better to do do over all my patterns or make the necessary adjustments , do i just trace the old patterns and add the difference in the necessary places .in terms of my sleeve . i have an old pattern im using to alter to get a new sleeve my bi ceps is 15′ , . and i looked at ur video on youtube and tried to do the same but it didnt come out right. can you help please.

        It might be better to do pattern grading which means you’re taking your existing pattern and going up a size or down a size, depending on what you need.             You’re essentially doing a method known as slash and spread method at major points of the pattern in order to get an even increase (or decrease). Here’s another article from Burda which might be even more helpful as they break down a bodice.
