The Bustier is cut out and ready to be assembled. I had to make multiple adjustments, so my pieces may not look exactly like the pattern pieces. I made a muslin of the bustier on which I made all the necessary fitting adjustments. I redrafted the bustier pattern from the adjusted muslin.

Tip: It is difficult to transfer the pleat markings to nine panels using the regular transfer process. I tried and dgot frustrated as the markings just did not copy to the fabric. I ended up transferring the markings, one panel at a time, using a charco tracing wheel. I used weights to anchor the patterned to my work table and for accuracy I used…[Read more]

I put the coat on my dress form to show the details of the back. I had to add more length to the tie than the pattern called for. I am a Full figured woman and the measurement for the largest size was not long enough. The two wonder clips show where I added length. I hand stitched the addition so it's not as noticeable.

Hi, your outfit looks good. Did you have any problems making adjustments to the coat?

I have reviewed your tutorial for this pattern. Your tutorial is very very helpful on on to contruct each pattern piece. I have to do a full bust adjustment for the coat and bustier and I have to alter the waist. I can handle the waist adjustment. And, I understand how to do the FBA. I understand how to adjust the side front piece. What I don’t…[Read more]
